Guide to Enrollment
(A) Enroll via Online Graduate English Course Registration Platform
- ➡️ Registration period: August 18 (Tue), 9:00 AM – August 31 (Mon), 11:59 PM

(Registration will close after the deadline.)

1. Log into the system and select your course level (either proceed to the next
-
level or remain at your current level), then click “Confirm and Submit” to
-
complete registration.

2. A confirmation page will appear once registration has been successfully
-
completed. Please do not email us to inquire about your registration status.

3. Please register through this system.Students who register through the NTU
-
Course Selection System will not be included on the class roster.
(B) Upload Approved English Proficiency Test Score Report for placement
-

1. You may refer to the Placement and English Proficiency Score Report

Conversion Table to see which level you will be placed into.

2. Students who enroll by submitting their score report are NOT eligible to

register through the aforementioned course registration system or take the
-
placement test.

3. Submitting a score report automatically enrolls you in the course. No
-
additional application is required.
(C) Manual Enrollment (for students with a change in student status)

1. If your student ID number has changed (e.g., from a master’s program to a
-
doctoral program), or if you have returned from a leave of absence but your
-
student status has not yet been reinstated, please contact us at:

2. After checking your previous study records, we will manually enroll you in
-
the course so that you may continue from where you left off.
Prospective students may complete the placement through EITHER of the following methods:
(A) Take the Online Placement Test

➡️ Registration Period: August 18 (Tue), 9:00 AM – August 26 (Wed), 11:59 PM

➡️ Test Login Period: August 31 (Mon), 9:00 AM – September 6 (Sun), 11:59 PM

1. Login instructions will be sent to your NTU email by 12:00 PM on August 28.

2. If you do not receive the login instructions before the test period begins,
-
please contact us immediately. Requests submitted AFTER the login
-
deadline will NOT be considered.

➡️ Things you should know before registration:
-
1. No make-up test will be offered if you miss the login period, and you will
-
NOT be able to enroll in the course this semester. You may instead submit a
-
qualifying Enlglish proficiency test score for placement.

2. Taking the placement test automatically enrolls you in the course. No
-
additional application is required.
-
3. All first-time students are eligible to take the placement test, including
-
students planning to resume their studies in the upcoming semester.
-
4. Students may take the placement test ONLY once.
-
5. Previously enrolled students are not eligible to retake the placement test.
-
6. The placement test results are used solely for determining your course level.
-
Test scores will not be released, and no transcripts, score reports, or other
-
forms of proof will be issued.

7. Placement results will be available as you log in to the course website on
-
September 9.

- 1. Once placement is settled, the assigned level CANNOT be changed.
- 2. Students who enroll via the placement test CANNOT later change their
- course level by submitting an English proficiency test score, and vice versa,
- as duplicate records may result in placement errors.
- 3. Score reports are used solely for course placement. Students seeking an
- exemption from English course requirements should contact their department
- directly.
